These playgrounds have a range of play facilities suitable for children of all ages. The play equipment includes a variety of swings, pole swing and climbing frame.
There is seating and ample car parking available. Picnic and barbequing facilities are also located nearby. These playgrounds are set within Curragh Chase, a Coillte forest park with over 313 hectares of mixed woodlands including pockets of native woodlands, arboretum/ gardens, park land and lakes.
Curragh Chase was once home to famous poet and author Aubrey de Vere, the remnants of Curragh Chase House where he lived remains today overlooking the park land.
Certain sections of the park are designated as special areas of conservation. This forest is a valuable amenity in County Limerick and is home to a wide variety of flora and fauna, and animals.
The park is ideal for walking and cycling and has a good range of marked trails and paths; some are suitable for wheelchair users.
